• To enable seniors to maintain their way of life in their own homes for as long as possible;
• To match a volunteer with a senior through a visit in their home;
• To reduce seniors' isolation and help them to achieve a more satisfying lifestyle.

Role of the Volunteer

The volunteer makes regular visits to seniors who:

• Live alone;
• Are unwell;
• Are convalescing;
• Wish to talk to someone who listens and understands what they are experiencing;
• Are active and well but would appreciate having regular contact

Seniors' Request

• A friend who can visit weekly or phone when not able to visit;
• Someone who will listen and develop an ongoing friendship.
